Education is one of the most powerful tools to better equip our community to advocate for and welcome newcomers. We connect Richmonders to information and opportunities through our Outreach and Community Education Events.
All requests will be processed and organizers contacted within 5-7 business days of the request. For any further questions, please email outreach@reestablishrichmond.org
Outreach Events
Whether it is a resource fair or community festival focused toward longtime Richmonders, or an event focused toward newcomers, we are thrilled for the opportunities to meet our community and share about our work. You can request ReEstablish Richmond to have a table at your event below.
Community Education
With over a decade of experience in the newcomer landscape in Richmond, we are happy to share expertise and provide context from small group settings to larger speaking events. Below you can see the areas that might best suit your audience:
Learn- Learn about the shifting realities of newcomers in Richmond, what support services newcomers can access, and better understand how to connect with newcomer support work. You can also request someone from our Newcomer Voices Program to come share their lived experience of resettlement (note: an additional speakers fee is required for this program).
Get Involved- find out ways to get involved supporting newcomers as a volunteer, donor, or partner.
Consultation- We consult with service providers, businesses, and faith communities on strategies for how to build inclusive, equitable programs and services specifically tailored to addressing barriers that newcomers face. Both one time and on-going consultation is available.
We suggest a minimum donation of $50 for most Community Education events, with additional fees of $100 for compensation for members of our Newcomer Voices Program. Consultation fees will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
